Functional Job Analysis
For Essential Functions Testing to be legally defensible and ADA-EEOC compliant the screening elements it employs must be reflective of the job or group of jobs it is designed to screen for.
A Functional Job Analysis is an in depth examination that identifies the job’s essential functions and physical demands. Essential functions are effectively a list of items detailing why the job exists. Physical demands include push and pull forces, lift and carry forces, grip and pinch forces, reaching, work postures, etc., and the frequencies with which the work is performed.
With the data yielded from a functional job analysis, we collaborate with your team to develop essential functions testing that is reflective of the job and legally defensible.
