Think of an Employee Maintenance Center as an in-house rehab facility focused on prevention as well as rehabilitation. It's a serious facility focused on your bottom line.
Our overarching mission is to keep your workers working — pain-free. In the early stages of an EMC implementation we'll be working hard to rehab your employees into job-task condition. The chances are you'll put an EMC in place because you and your company are dissatisfied with the numbers and costs of injuries and incidents at your facility. So our first order of business is to help address the immediate pain — both the employees' and the company's.
Prevention
But we'll also address the issues of prevention. Where are the injuries occurring? Is there a pattern? Is a particular machine or process contributing to the pattern? If so, can it be modified to help prevent future incidents? What muscle groups need strengthening to get workers to a level of physical capability?
