Looking forward to the 2013 Michigan Safety Conference

In the backyard of the auto industry and the backbone of manufacturing, safety professionals will gather under one roof to talk about the latest in workplace safety issues.

With one of his signature Employee Maintenance Centers operating in the state, Trent will add his voice to the many others gathering in Grand Rapids, MI who seek the best in workplace safety and injury prevention.

The Conference is divided into 15 different divisions including: Chemical, Construction, Emergency Management, Environmental Management, Fire Safety, Health Care, Industrial, Industrial Hygiene, Insurance, Occupational Health Nurses, Public Employer, Public Utilities, Security, Consultation Education & Training, and Transportation. In turn, the leaders of these divisions will glean the best speakers and programs from submissions. In the end, those attending will have the opportunity to experience close to 160 programs.

Of all the conferences Trent is attending this year, the Michigan Safety Conference has a distinguished past and incredible tradition.

Prior to the Great Depression, the Michigan Safety Conference was formed to help Michigan business, industry and government to reduce accidents, injuries and property damage, according to the conference’s website.

The first conference took place in 1929 presenting safety-related seminars and displays to the public. Seven years later, in 1936, the second conference was held.

Today, over 3,000 attendees make up the safety, health and environmental employees who seek information on the latest techniques and equipment. The conference is organized and operated as a not-for-profit corporation. In addition to the annual conference, the Michigan Safety Conference sponsors annual scholarships to assist students who are enrolled in occupational safety and health programs at accredited Michigan universities.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!
