OSHA proposes new requirements and more stringent reporting obligationsOSHA has proposed changing which industries are considered “exempt” from maintaining regular workplace injury and illness records. In addition the proposal would change the reporting obligations for certain situations such as requiring all in-patient hospitalizations to be reported within 8 hours. OSHA launces website designed to assist employers in complying with recordkeeping rule
OSHA has launched a new interactive tool called “The Recordkeeping Advisor” to help aid employers in determining whether injuries and illnesses are work related and if they are recordable under the new OSHA recordkeeping rules. For more on recordkeeping rules, visit the Department of Labor website.
