OSHA Publishes Shipbreaking Safety Document

Shipbreaking entails many dangers such as exposure to asbestos, falls, electric shock and fires. Shipbreaking is the process of breaking down outdated ships for recycling.

OSHA has just released their “Safe Work Practices in Shipbreaking” document aimed to helping protect workers from injury and death. The document also outlines employers responsibility to ensure a safe work environment for their employers. You can check out the document here.
