Exercise for Fibromyalgia

A new study published in Arthritis Research & Therapy demonstrates that short exercise sessions can help relieve symptoms with people suffering from fibromyalgia. The study looked at 84 participants divided into an exercise group that incorporated a 30-minute walking exercise into their daily routine and a control group that received education about the disease. Remarkably, the exercise group  showed a  decrease in pain and an increase in functioning.

InjuryFree has many friends and family that are living with fibromyalgia.  As more research comes out, we are excited to help them cope with the symptoms of their disease.  Even more exciting – some relief can come from a non-medicinal approach!
